My Purse

Since its "wordless Wednesday" I figured that a picture of just some of the contents of my purse would speak volumes for me.

  1. How good do the dex 4 tabs and gel work? I have them but my son prefers to have juice.

  2. I have been told by experts that tabs especially work faster than juice. I like them because its easier to dose, for example, if he is just low then I can give him 1 or 2 tablets or if I know he will be low, he can take one and all is great. The gel is his favorite.

  3. For Mom whose kids won't use glucose tabs, Smarties have the same ingredients and are six grams a roll. 6 grams a roll, so quite a few to cram down in a hurry. Skittles are just as fast, 13 grams a small packet. We have always used individually wrapped Lifesavers (4 grams each) mostly because they don't crush to dust in a jean's pocket, juice or even grapes at home. Yes. it is slower but unless extremely low, fast enough. I have time juice to kick in in about ten minutes; it might take five minites just to chew up the smarties or skittles. Our kid won't touch the glucose tabs either.

  4. For Canadians, Smarties are not chocolate covered but what we call "Rockets" north of the border. Thanks for the tips!!
